Getting Back into the Thick of Things

I hope everyone had a Happy and Safe Holidays and were able to enjoy your time with family and friends. Our Basketball team returned to practice after a long holiday break on Dec. 30th –as anticipated some guys were in better shape than others when they returned. We did a lot of the basic passing, catching, shooting, & running to get our legs back to where they need to be.
Our program was very active in the community over the Holiday Break. Thanks to your help with a canned food donation during the Don Glick Classic we were able to feed 100 families from the local area during the Christmas holidays. Below is a picture of the canned goods with the MBB team and Bridgewater Inner Church Food Pantry representative Roscoe Burgess.

We also held a FREE Holiday Hoops Clinic for Boys & Girls that live in the Shenadoah Valley area. We partnered with Walmart of Dayton and manager Brian Cipoletti to provide a basketball, t-shirt and lunch to each participant. Our team and coaching staff instructed drills on the basic fundamentals of basketball but more importantly we talked about setting goals, making the right choices, & doing well in school.
We return to Nininger Hall on Jan. 5th (Wed.) at 7 pm vs Lynchburg College. Then we will play Randolph Macon on Jan. 8th (Sat.) at 3 pm. So, come out and support us in two very important ODAC conference games.
